In November 2010, a group of Niagara business leaders connected with various private, educational and voluntary organizations founded, formed and launched the Niagara Angel Network (NAN).
The organization was successfully organized under the auspices of the Network of Angel Organizations – Ontario (now Angel Investors Ontario) to entertain investment proposals and provide equity capital to emerging young companies in Niagara and beyond.
Recognizing the value of having a registered Angel investor group in the area, the not-for-profit corporation obtained federal and provincial funding to expand the membership. Today, the Niagara Angel Network has grown to over 50 accredited investors.
