| Seasons Greetings, As we approach the end of 2018, we would like to take a moment to wish all of our members and their families a happy holiday season. This past November, the Niagara Angel Network turned 10 years old. This was another strong year for our Angel group. In 2018, the Niagara Angels were able to: -Invest $1,268,470 -Into 8 Companies But of course, our success is linked to our companies’ success. We were pleased to see LINKETT receive an acquisition offer, providing our Angels an opportunity to double their investment. As well, Smarter Sorting raised further rounds, including a strategic investor to expedite its expansion, while making in roads with Stericycle, a world leader in waste management. This year, Earth to Kids (Chick-a-Pea Pasta) was in Italy for their first production run! BoomersPlus raised over $1M and launching in Ontario, and Co-Health(formerly Dash MD) is now live in 20 health systems across Canada. Of course, NAN showed our commitment to investing locally too. Caddle, and ColdBlock Technologies received strong financial support from our Angels. The latter went on to several other Angel groups –a first for a Niagara based company. And that’s just some of our portfolio companies. On the operational side, FedDev Ontario is extending our funding contract another 2 years. This is great news for the group, as we can continue to source the best deals, and monitor the performance of our existing ones. We can continue to build a successful Angel investor group in Niagara.
