Venture Niagara to provide management services for Niagara Angel Network
Thorold, Ontario – The Niagara Angel Network (NAN) is pleased to announce that Venture Niagara Community Futures Development Corporation will be providing management services for the organization. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening the support for entrepreneurs and investors within the Niagara region.
As the management service provider, Venture Niagara will leverage its extensive experience in community development, business financing, and fostering economic growth to enhance the operational efficiency and strategic direction of the Niagara Angel Network. This collaboration aims to generate a more robust ecosystem for startup ventures, business expansions and angel investors, driving innovation and economic prosperity in Niagara.
The Niagara Angel Network is a not-for-profit organization that represents accredited or “Angel” investors, who live, work, or have a strong interest in Niagara, neighbouring communities or in young companies primed for growth. It has been instrumental in connecting high-net-worth individuals with promising startups, providing crucial funding to early-stage companies.
Venture Niagara Community Futures Development Corporation has a long-standing reputation for supporting local businesses through community economic development projects, business financing and advisory services. The corporation will be entering its fortieth year of operation in 2025. With their involvement, the Niagara Angel Network will receive management support and expanded outreach initiatives.
“We are excited to have Venture Niagara on board as our management service provider,” said Lorna Kane, an angel investor and Chair of the Niagara Angel Network. “Their commitment to the local economy aligns with our mission to support early-stage companies. This collaboration will enable us to better serve our members and the wider business community. Venture Niagara’s long-standing position in our community, will endeavour to bring the Niagara Angel Network areas of investment that may not have been visible to NAN previously. The ultimate goal is to present NAN members a much broader scope and significantly better returns on their investment choices.”
Venture Niagara is equally enthusiastic about the partnership. “We look forward to bringing our expertise to the Niagara Angel Network,” said Frank Rupcic, Venture Niagara’s General Manager. “Our goal is to provide support that allows the Niagara Angel Network to focus on what they do best – investing in promising startups. Together, we can create a more dynamic and prosperous business environment in Niagara.”
