BoomersPlus Within Reach of Fundraising Goal: Ontario Expansion On Its Way

  Thanks to an injection of funds from the founders, the Niagara Angels and others, BoomersPlus is now within $130,000 of reaching its $700,000 goal. Innovacorp, which is a Nova Scotia funded corporation that buys into start-ups has offered an equity purchase of $350,000. In turn, BoomersPlus is expected to raise $700,000 in new funds to match Innovacorp’s contribution.

This funding will provide the runway for Ontario expansion.

In a unanimous show of support, the Board of Boomers pledged to cover whatever is required to close the round 3-4 weeks before the May 31^stdeadline. The round will raise in excess of $1 million.

Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Gala

NAN was pleased to attend the Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Gala held February 23^rd at the White Oaks Resort and Spa. It was a fantastic evening showcasing the best and brightest in Niagara. We would like to congratulate Larry Boggio from Boggio Pharmacies as this year’s recipient of the Community Contribution Award as well as Len Pennachetti, Cave Springs Cellars for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
